The website is operated as a personal and professional website by Victor Bohman Lind (“Generalis”).

This website is intentionally designed with privacy in mind. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, tracking pixels, or user accounts. The website aims to collect and process only the personal data that is technically necessary to operate the service or that you voluntarily provide.

2. Website hosting and technical data

The website is hosted by STRATO AG, a hosting provider based in Germany.

When you visit the website, your browser necessarily communicates with the hosting infrastructure in order to retrieve the requested content. As part of this communication, technical information may be processed by the hosting provider.

This may include information such as:
- IP address;
- date and time of the request;
- requested URL or resource;
- browser and operating-system information;
- referrer information;
- transferred data volume; and
- other technical information contained in standard server logs.

This information may be processed for the technical operation, availability, security and maintenance of the website, including the detection and prevention of abuse or attacks.
The website does not use this technical information to operate an analytics or visitor-tracking system.

Where applicable, this processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests). The legitimate interests are the secure, reliable and technically functional operation of the website.

The website is built using WordPress and uses the Kubio site builder and Yoast SEO.
These tools are used to create, manage and optimise the website. They are not used by this website as advertising, analytics or visitor-tracking systems.

Where these tools process technical information as part of the normal operation of the website, such processing is limited to what is necessary for the relevant functionality and the operation and security of the website.

The website does not intentionally configure these tools to collect personal data for advertising or behavioural profiling.

4. fonts

The website uses fonts hosted directly on the website's own hosting infrastructure.

No external font provider, such as Google Fonts, is contacted by your browser simply because a page uses one of these fonts.

This means that loading the website's fonts does not require your IP address or other browser information to be sent to an external font provider.

5. Email communications

If you contact me by email, I will receive the information contained in your message, including your email address and any personal information you choose to provide.

This information is used to:
- read and respond to your message;
- communicate with you where necessary; and
- maintain a reasonable record of the correspondence where appropriate.

I do not add correspondents to marketing mailing lists, and I do not sell email addresses.

All email addresses published on this website are hosted with Proton AG using Proton Mail.
Proton Mail uses strong encryption to protect email data. Messages stored in Proton Mail are protected with zero-access encryption, meaning that Proton does not have access to the decrypted contents of messages stored in the mailbox.

Communications between Proton Mail users are protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). When communicating with addresses operated by other email providers, the availability of end-to-end encryption depends on the services and encryption methods used by both parties. Such messages are generally protected in transit using TLS and are stored by Proton using zero-access encryption.

End-to-end encrypted communication with external email providers can also be established using mechanisms such as PGP or Proton Mail's password-protected email functionality. For more information, see Proton's official security documentation.

Email correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was received, including where necessary to maintain a record of communications or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

6. Third-party services

This website is designed to minimise its use of third-party services.

Apart from infrastructure and services required to host, secure and operate the website, the website does not intentionally embed third-party advertising, analytics, tracking pixels or social-media tracking technologies.

Where a third party processes personal data on my behalf, the relevant processing is governed by the applicable contractual and data-protection arrangements.

Some service providers used to operate the website may process personal data in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
